It is helpful when inquiring about E-Z-GO parts if you know your Mfr Code and Serial Number. These are located in most E-Z-GO's (prior to 2003) on a serial number plate located in or under the passenger side dashboard storage compartment. After 2003, the serial number plate (a white sticker) is located under the seat on a cross member. You see it when you are looking back toward the rear of the car.
The manufacturer's code is used to determine the year the car was made, not the serial number. The specific order of the numbers varies, but the manufacturer's code always has a letter and the last two digits of the year it was made incorporated in the code. The serial number is either 6 or 7 digits, but it does not indicate the model year
